Fixed Operations “Forever Problem”
For decades, service scheduling has been a challenge dealerships couldn’t crack leading to bottlenecks in the morning and idle time in the afternoons. Too much variability with consumer demand. Too much variability with technician workforce. Customers walk in. Customers no-show. Customers are late. Customers are early. What customer schedule for doesn’t accurately predict the work performed on the repair order. Endless variability and uncertainty.
A Founder Who Tackles Hard Problems
Dave Anderson, CEO and Founder of EvenFlow AI, has built his career leaning into difficult challenges. While earning his PhD in Theoretical & Applied Mechanics, he broke new ground in mathematics by solving problems once thought unsolvable. Dave applied that same mindset as an United Airlines executive to re-engineer critical business functions under intense financial pressure. From there, he started his entrepreneurial journey and applied lessons airlines had perfected—filling every seat despite variable demand—to other industries like healthcare with fixed capacity.

A 3-Hour Oil Change Sparked an Idea
While waiting for a 3-hour oil change at his dealership, an idea started to form in Dave’s mind that automotive service could benefit from the same kind of capacity management he’d applied elsewhere. With the guidance of countless service managers, he launched EvenFlow—bringing proven prediction and optimization practices into the dealership world.
Building the Way Forward
Today, EvenFlow helps dealerships run smoother, sell more labor hours, and deliver a noticeably better customer experience—without asking teams to work harder or guess at capacity.
When dealerships can align demand with true capacity, everything improves: more labor hours sold, fewer bottlenecks, more predictable flow, and a smoother experience from booking to write-up to pickup. That’s the way forward—modern scheduling that protects the shop, supports the team, and makes it easier for customers to say yes.
